AGIUS. On June 21, at Villa M.SSma Annunziata, Sr AGATA (Dorothy) of the Sisters of Charity, aged 88, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, her sister Nora, her brother Johnnie, Michael and his wife Carmen, her sister-in-law Olga, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 9.30 a.m. at the chapel of the convent of the Sisters of Charity, 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
HOPKINS. On June 22, at St Vincent De Paul Residence, CARMEN, of Senglea and residing in Marsascala, aged 89, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons David and his wife Vivienne and Paul and his wife Marisa, her grandchildren Etienne, Charmaine, Lynne and Jean, their respective spouses and fiancées, great-grandchildren Hillary, Odette and Desiree, her sister Ethel, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent De Paul Residence tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Anne parish church in Marsascala, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
PAPAGIORCOPULO. On June 21, LOUIS, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Brian and his wife Rose-Marie, Christine and her husband Angelo Albanese, Charles, Adrian and his fiancée Leanne, his grandchildren Marco and his wife Tatiana, Alex and his wife Denise, Sabrina and her fiancé Valentino, Claire and her fiancé David, Nickolai and his fiancée Marisa and Mikaela, his great-grandchildren Alex and Faye, his brothers, sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Provi-denza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

US Consular Office to close for a week
The US Embassy’s Consular Office will be closed for non-emergency services between July 1 and 8 while the embassy moves to its new premises in Ta’ Qali. Only emergency American Citizen Services will be available.
Since the embassy will be closed on June 29, a public holiday, the last date available for visa interview appointments and non-emergency consular services will be Wednesday.
On July 11, the consular office will reopen in Ta’ Qali and resume full business operations and visa interviews will start again on July 13. Additional information about the new location, parking and public transport can be found at http://malta.usembassy.gov.
