BELLIZZI. On April 1, at St Catherine’s Home, Attard MARIA ISABELLA, née Lucia, aged 93, widow of Henry Joseph, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Marie-Claire wife of Daniel Kaminski, Anna wife of Mario Micallef, her grandchildren Stefan, Francesca and Marie-Isabelle, her sister-in-law Elda Vella Galea, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves St Catherine’s Home on Wednesday, April 4 at 9.30am for St Helena’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family wishes to thank all at St Catherine Home for their love and care.

MANCHÉ. On March 26, Surg. Maj. Dr. LORIS MANCHÉ, widower of Yvonne, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Marie Antoinette and her husband Henri Diacono, his son Noel and his wife Moira, his grandchildren Jacques and his wife Daniela, Nicole and her partner Angelo Abela, Alexandra, Louis and Bertie, his great-granddaughter Milu and his great grandson Luca, his brother Judge Albert Manché, relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Casa Antonia, Balzan, today, Monday, April 2, at 1.30pm for Balluta parish church, St Julian’s where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest. His family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Casa Antonia for their dedication and care.

MIZZI. On March 29, MABEL, widow of Edgar, aged 86, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Mario and his wife Connie, Guido and Anna, Joe, Henri and his wife Sue; her grandchildren Mark, Alex and his wife Emma, Michael and Chantal, Rebecca and Leo, Edward and Bertha, Christopher, Andrew and Peter; her great-grandchildren Thomas, Bettina and Sebastian, Lyla Rose and Ruby Leon; her nieces Sandra and Fiona, Rosanne and Sylvia, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, April 3, at 8.15am for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to thank her carers Pricila, Mary and Lisa.

In Memoriam

GALEA BASON – CARMEN, of Floriana. In loving memory of a dearly beloved mother, today the fifth anniversary of her demise. Greatly missed by her children, Margaret, Noel, Joseph and Carmen. A Mass for her repose will be celebrated today, April 2 at 6pm at St Mary’s parish church, Birkirkara. May she rest in peace.

MANGION – AMELIA, 21.2.1924-2.4.2015. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Sorely missed by Anthony, Claude, Alain, Swantje, Caroline and Julia.

NUNNS. In everlasting memory of ROBERT JOHN a devoted father and grandfather. Sixty long years have passed dear Daddy, you are still very much missed. Doris Winston and all his grandchildren. May he rest in peace.

Rovati works exhibition in Gozo

Costanzo Rovati: Percorso di Vita is an art exhibition currently open to the public at the Sentinella in Victoria.

The works of Rovati, born in Milan in 1939, are also on display in renowned private  collections in Italy, the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands, Martinique and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Since his childhood Rovati had always shown a great aptitude for arts, with a particular predisposition to curiosity and  originality.

The exhibition in Gozo is open daily, between 9am and 5pm, until April 29.
