BORG. On November 21, FRANCIS XAVIER BORG, M.O.M, founder of the FXB Group, aged 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Victoria, his son Joseph and his wife Connie, his daughters Maria and her husband Ivan and Rosalie and her husband Iro, his grandchildren Deborah, Ylenia and her husband Leonard, Francis, Katya and Michel and their respective partners Gianella, Karl and Nicole, his sister Rita Darmanin, and Grace Vella, widow of his brother-in-law Anthony, his nieces and nephew, their spouses and families, relatives, all the staff at the FXB Group of Companies and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow, Friday, November 24 at 3.30pm for St George’s Basilica, Victoria, Gozo, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 4pm. No flowers by request but donations to Arka Foundation, Għajnsielem, Gozo, and Oasi Foundation, Victoria, Gozo, would be appreciated. The family would like to thank all the staff at Gozo General Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FERRIGGI. On November 23, JOSEPH of Rabat, aged 85, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Gemma, his children Dr Joseph Ferriggi, widower of Judith, Marlene and Isabella and her husband Alfred Azzopardi, his grandchildren Alison, Brenda Lee, Neil and Brandon, his great-granddaughter Eva, his sister Rose, widow of Johnny Azzopardi, and Ġużi, widower of his sister Mary, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, November 25 at 8.30am for Mdina Cathedral where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GALEA. On November 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANCE (ta’ Laronde), aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his children Jesmar and Marthese, Johanna and Francis Darmanin, Jean Pierre and Joanne and Jonathan and Anna, his grandchildren Jude, Luke, Johann, Damien, Jake, Sean and Emma, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday November 25 at 8am for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MAGRI. On November 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, SUSANNE, née Borg, aged 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Cecil, her sons Kevin and his wife Suzanne, Karl and his wife Jackie, Richard and his wife Jackie. Her grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca and Sarah, Julia and Andrew. Her brothers Joe and his wife Edmea, Henry and his wife Marion, Isabelle, widow of Wilfred Borg. Her in-laws, her nephews and nieces, their spouses and families, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, November 23 at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Don Bosco Salesian Fathers, Sliema, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. TONNA. On November 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL (Pawlu ta’ Santu) of Rabat, widower of Rose, aged 88, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Mario and his wife Maria, his daughter Alexandra and her husband Joseph Bugelli, his grandchildren Annalice and her partner Christian Bezzina, Charmaine and her fiancé Keith Cauchi, Claire, Paul and his fiancée Krista Grech, Rachelle and her fiancé David Camilleri, and Fiona, his great-grandchildren Jasmine and Dean, his sister Josephine, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, November 25 at 1.30pm for St Paul’s Collegiate church, Rabat, where concelebrated Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm. The Count Roger Band will accompany the cortège to Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat, where burial takes place in the family grave. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Monthly dyslexia talk today

The Malta Dyslexia Association will be holding its monthly talk tomorrow at 6.30pm at the Department of Education’s multi-purpose hall in the customer care area, Floriana.

The session will be facilitated by Ninette Pace Balzan. Apart from listening, participants will have the opportunity to discuss and share concerns.
