CALLEJA. On December 17, at her daughter’s residence, IMELDA of Mosta, widow of Julian, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Arnold, Rupert and his wife Lorraine, née de Gray, and Edelweiss and her husband Peter Ferry, her grandchildren Ryan, Bianca, Nicholas, Kimberley, Kieran and Nigel, her brother Hilary, her sisters Iris and Ivy and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 21 at 8.30am at Mosta parish church, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. Memorial donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, or Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On December 17, at Villa M.SS.ma Annunziata, Balzan, Sister M. FRANCESCA (Ludovina) of the Sisters of Charity, aged 91, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the congregation of the Sisters of Charity, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at the chapel of the convent at 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, today, December 19 at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PORTELLI. On December 17, JOAN, aged 59. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her son David, her mother Maria Pina, her brothers Joseph and his wife Marthese, Karmenu and his wife Rita, and Albert and his wife Catherine, her in-laws Salvu and his wife Lourdes, Maryanne and her husband Joseph, Frans and his wife Rose, and Carmen, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, December 20 at 2.30pm for Our Saviour parish church, Lija, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

NAUDI. Cherished and unfading memories of a very beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, MARY, today the 31st anniversary of her passing away. Fondly remembered by her son Anton and his wife Marlene, in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The 6.30pm Mass on Friday, December 22 at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of her soul.
