Flautist Elisabeth MöstFlautist Elisabeth Möst’s concerts have gained the reputation of being a totally different experience. With her beautiful sound, her ability to affect and her deeply impressing musicality, the flautist creates an atmosphere in the concert hall, which never fails to fascinate.
Local music lovers have the opportunity of enjoying her music live as the flautist will be playing at The Manoel Theatre in a concert that is being organised by the theatre in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy.
Möst will be accompanied by pianist Giselle Grima, who has rapidly established herself as a professional performing artist based in Malta.
Grima’s solo recitals have taken her to several countries and, as an accompanist and chamber musician, she regularly collaborates with local and foreign professional vocalists and instrumentalists.
Möst’s musical style is characterised by transparency, truthfulness and the artful way in which she interprets the transitions. Having received several awards, she made her debut in London in 2001 with the premiere of a piece which Helmut Neumann had composed specifically for her.
The concert is being held on Tuesday at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta, at 8pm. A pre-show talk by Neil Briscoe-White will be held at 7.15pm. Tickets are €15 and €10 with a 50 per cent discount for students and senior citizens.
