Here we are in the month of the Olympic Games that will be held in the city of London. During this last year I have written two letters to the British High Commission and to St Paul’s Bay local council with the idea to join forces and revamp the most abandoned garden: the Olympic Garden at Xemxija Bay (above).

The landscaping would have commemorated the London Olympics 2012. I even proposed to them to highlight the cities that have hosted the Olympics since the inception up to London along the pathways. I was fortunate to have an acknowledged e-mail from the local council but none from the High Commission.

There are still a few weeks before the start of the games and miracles can happen. We might even see this derelict and abandoned spot turned into a recreational and educational area.
