Fiat has kicked-off its latest advertising campaign, ‘Fiat 500 Twin Air, Everyday Fun’, which will be accompanying the commercial launch of the new 500 Twin Air, a model featuring a twin cylinder turbo engine 85 CV.

The new campaign stars Ferrari Formula One driver Fernando Alonso and is based on the idea that drivers do not necessarily need to own a car with high horse power to really enjoy a driving experience.

Fiat says that the 500 Twin Air, with a turbo engine of 85 bhp, compact dimensions and a sporty image, can transform everyday trips into a sporty driving experience.

The advertisement shows a man so addicted to having fun that he feels the need to see a psychologist. During his first visit, the doctor asks his patient what he enjoys doing in his free time. The patient replies with a whole barrage of activities: “I love going to the cinema, dining out, going to the supermarket, buying the newspaper, visiting the park...”

While the patient recalls his thoughts, there are short flashbacks in which the Fiat 500 is always the protagonist.

This is supposed to make it clear that for the patient it is not the activities that really matter, but that he does them while driving the new 500 Twin Air. The ‘patient’ is F1 driver Fernando Alonso.

The new 500 Twin Air has a maximum speed of 173 km/h, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 11 seconds. This performance corresponds with a reduction in fuel consumption: 4.0 l/100 km and4.1 l/100 km respectively. It is available with a dualogic gearbox andmechanical gearbox.

Fiat says the 500 Twin Airboasts the lowest level of CO2emmissions in the world: 92 g/km with dualogic gearbox and 95g/Km with mechanical gearbox.
