Gas cylinders used to recharge air conditioning and refrigeration systems have been recalled because they are marked as refillable when they are not.

The cylinders contain the substances R 134a, R 407c, R 404a and R 410a.

They pose a serious risk to users if recharged for more than a single use, the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority said.

The cylinders should be returned to the place of purchase while using or stocking them could incur legal action, the authority said.
