John Ambrogio has been appointed Alert Group chief executive to lead its three companies.

With 28 years’ executive management experience in several major local ICT companies, Mr Ambrogio is well known in the industry for his leadership skills in heading multi-disciplinary teams of ICT practitioners to deliver business critical solutions in various local and international economic sectors.

For the last two-and-a-half years Mr Ambrogio has been the chairman of the board of governors of the eSkills Alliance-Malta, a coalition of academia, educators, MCST, the ITBS of the Chamber of Commerce and MITA, brought together to help reduce the e-skills gap in business, industry and society.

“John’s experience, knowledge and leadership qualities are well known and highly regarded, and he will help us achieve our ambitious goals to grow through rapid internationalisation,” executive chairman Claudine Cassar said.

The Alert Group began as a website development company and in 15 years has evolved to encompass three companies: Alert Communications, Alert Solutions and Alert Creative. It is a diversified ICT systems integrator offering a portfolio of offerings to a growing customer base.
