Having established himself on the local pop scene via a string of singles that were openly received by local radio stations, singer Malcolm Pisani’s participation in this year’s Summer Hit Song Contest on One TV was his first involvement in a local festival.

“It has a very summery vibe and a catchy sing-a-long chorus, which is probably why people caught on to it so easily,” Pisani said.

Ale’O placed second in the public vote and was in the Top 10 songs as voted by the professional jury on the final night.

It was written by Billy J and Minik Cini, the latter also forming part of the contest’s winning act Minik and Siconix.

This summer, Pisani has been busy with various performances, among them a support slot before the Buddy Holly UK Tribute act at the Birkirkara International Music Festival.

From this winter, he willbe one of the resident singerson Sfera, a weekly TV programme that will air on Favourite Channel.
