This new law of confectioneries not being allowed to sell alcohol after 9 p.m. is pathetic.

Our lawmakers are “concerned” with young binge drinkers who now simply have to see to purchasing that bottle of vodka a little earlier, that’sall.

Should they “miss the train”, they are going to have to go to a bar. If they want to drink nothing is going to stop them.

This law is unfair on the mature adult who might simply wish to pick up a bottle of wine on his way to some dinner party; should he be too late to buy one from a confectionery, he too will have to purchase one from a bar. It will cost more.

Bar owners, out of all people, must be really happy with the way our lawmakers are trying to tackle the matter.
