Air Malta went retro yesterday with one of its planes repainted in its 1974 livery. It started its 40th anniversary celebrations with flypasts over the Grand Harbour, Sliema, Malta’s northern coastline, Mosta, Qrendi and Birżebbuġa.The Air Malta-registered aircraft 9H-AEI, which was used for flight KM 40, arrived after it was repainted in the Czech Republic. It had been on a long-term lease to Interjet in Mexico.
