Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed talks are being held with Tottenham over making his loan move from Manchester City a permanent deal.

Adebayor has scored 18 goals in 37 games for Spurs since he moved to White Hart Lane on loan, helping the club to finish in the top four of the Premier League. But rather than return to City, the Togo striker has revealed to fans that he wants to stay in north London.

He wrote on Twitter: “Loved my spell at Tottenham, we are working hard with the chairman to make it permanent. Will keep you informed!!”

With Spurs missing out on Champions League football, the news will be welcome by manager Harry Redknapp as he gears up for a Europa League campaign once again next season.
