I have just come back from a visit to the Addolorata Cemetery and am disgusted. Even though it was Mothers’ Day, the place was dirty, bins were overflowing, wild grass was everywhere, papers were flying all over the place and there was no water available to clean the granite slabs and fill the small flower containers.
There is a manning problem or a supervision one. Furthermore, we were once told that a boundary wall was going to be built at the back of the left hand side of the cemetery, which is open to surrounding fields; still no wall exists. I suggest that the ministry responsible takes drastic action. It is a shame to have such a jewel of a place look so dilapidated.
