Maltese rock band Accessto has just released a new single which the band says is aimed at kicking off the Christmas celebrations in style.

It’s Christmastime is the band’s first new release since 2007’s self-titled debut album; a rock ballad inspired by the spirit of Christmas, based on the emotions a man going through a difficult patch experiences at Christmastime and the support shown by those close to him.

The new song, which also features a small youth choir and guest appearances by former Accessto guitarist Frans Debono and Graziella Zarb Ferrante on cello, was recorded entirely by the band itself at its own studio.

Despite being a challenging experience, the band said it was also very rewarding. The single is also accompanied by a music video, the band’s second one since its formation 11 years ago, which was filmed and edited by Jonathan Farrugia of Flash Productions.

The music video for It’s Christmastime can be viewed on the band’s Facebook page.
