Last May I received my electricity bill which I paid in full.

I was not given the usual eco reduction amounting to approximately €80.

ARMS customer care explained that since no reading was taken I was not given the eco reduction.

That week the meter reader came twice; we were not at home. When I tried to phone in with my electricity reading all ARMS lines were busy as usual.

When I received my bill, I agreed with the estimated units and I paid it in full not to incur any interest.

Enemalta has already installed the so-called smart meter but it is not that smart because they still send the meter reader to read it. The water meter is outside and can be read easily.

This is an insult to injury considering the expensive electricity bills we receive. These rules should be amended.
