Here we go again: We have just visited some friends who are resident here and they too are subject to frustration as a result of ARMS. They have been refused their rights to be registered consumers and are still paying the zero rated consumers’ tariffs of between 35-65 per cent more expensive electricity and water.

If that wasn’t bad enough they have also been asked to pay €4.66 each to have their last two bills revised with correct meter readings, by taking photos of the meters. The estimated readings used have been heavily overestimated and ARMS wants the consumer to pay for their errors. Why can’t ARMS actually get to an accurate estimated reading based on the same period for the previous year? Or is that beyond the company’s capabilities?

Why are consumers and taxpayers paying heavily for such ineptitude and inefficiency?
