An Armed Forces of Malta rescue boat was involved in the second medical evacuation in as many days yesterday.

A call was received from a cabin cruiser reporting that an Italian man had fallen unconscious and might have been stung by a fish.

On Monday night, a boat reported a Lithuanian man had been suffering from chest pains some 20 nautical miles from Grand Harbour.

The AFM sent a rescue vessel to the area and picked up a 53-year-old, who was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
