Now on sale is The Times Picture Annual, a pick of the best photos shot for Times of Malta and The Sunday Times of Malta by Jason Borg, Matthew Mirabelli, Chris Sant Fournier, Paul Spiteri Lucas, Mark Zammit Cordina and Darrin Zammit Lupi over the past year.

Ninth in the series, the picture annual is a pictorial synopsis of life in Malta, divided into four sections: news, daily life, arts and entertainment and sport.

It includes images from Prince William’s visit to Malta, the supermoon, the European Parliament elections, Malta’s main sport events and countless snippets of everyday life and oddities.

In the foreword, Times of Malta head of content Ray Bugeja speaks about the growing prevalence of cameras everywhere, watching and recording our every move, and also connects that to the recent incident in which the presence of media cameras was instrumental in the departure of a Cabinet minister.

The 192-page Times Picture Annual 2014, published by Allied Publications, contains 167 colour images and is available at the price of €27.30 from leading bookshops and stationers.
