Malta has been given the opportunity to participate in International New Model Today, a modelling contest founded by Vittoria Zeviani who owned one of Italy’s important model agencies, Why Not, in Milan.
The contest offers models a chance to gain international visibility and offers work opportunities in fashion and advertisement international agencies, cinema and TV productions.
Juliana Scerri Ferrante, director of Ferramoda, and Giuseppe Racioppi, manager of the same organisation in Italy, in collaboration with fashion stylist Marisa Grima and entrepreneur Noelene Miggiani are holding auditions on Wednesday at 7pm at the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s.
All models may attend the auditions, including those already signed with a model agency, as long as they are between 18 and 23 years old and are of a minimum height of 170cm.
The chosen model will travel to Riccione, Italy, from September 1 to 7 to take the catwalk for Maltese designer Ferragiu by Scerri Ferrante, who will be launching her Alta Moda Collection, Atelier Emilio Schuberth and Atelier Renato Balestra.
The model will be accompanied by Grima and all expenses will be paid.
There will be no ceremonies or any other events to commit to. The model selected will be chosen there and then from the audition.
Models attending the audition should be smartly dressed and wear heels. There is a €25 administration fee applicable to acquire entry for the casting.
