Those familiar with the Maltese music scene will know her as a member of various local bands, among them Brikkuni, Zizza Ensemble and The ISkandal, but for quite some time now, Troffa Ħamra has been exploring new ways of making music on the streets and in venues around the vibrant Spanish city of Barcelona.

Further to the live performances she gave with her band Los Mechones last summer, she is back in Malta, this time accompanied by jazz trumpeter Javier ‘Murcia’ Manzanares. The two musicians, who form part of the Tubahamra street trio in Barcelona, will be performing a set of original numbers and other tunes with a Bossa Nova and Swing feel tonight at Coach and Horses in Msida.

Drummer Michael Galea will be joining them for this performance, which kicks off around 9.30pm.

Entrance is €2 (or €7 including a copy of the Troffa Hamra y Los Mechones album). For more information, look up the event page on Facebook.
