Eight food companies recently took part in the two-yearly Salon International de l’Alimentation (Sial) food fair in Villepinte, Paris.

A major international event within the food and beverage industry, for the past 40 years Sial has provided the ideal platform to industry stakeholders to explore, discuss, sense, anticipate and adapt to the fast-changing food and beverage markets.

The fair, which attracted around 5,700 exhibitors and almost 150,000 visitors, was spread over eight halls with 19 product sector and food channels.

The first three halls were dedicated to national pavilions and regions of the world.

The Maltese stand was coordinated by Malta Enterprise, which also helped various local companies display their fare.

The Maltese Ambassador to France Pierre Clive Agius was among those who visited the Maltese stand.
