Terra Verunt, forming part of the Malta International Arts Festival, is an immersive performance transforming The Splendid at Strait Street into an arrival point for immigrants in an alternate reality.

This work explores the feelings and experiences of migration, particularly focusing on the young people going through this process and aims to allow the audience to live through and identify with a version of this journey.

Created by Erica Muscat (dramaturgy), Lucia Piquero (choreography) and Renzo Spiteri (music), this production stars Carl Crochet, Emma Louise Walker, Laura Wyatt O’ Keeffe, Stephanie Bonnici, Kostas Papamatthaiakis, Corinna Abela, Fabiana Mangialardi and Gaby Davies.

Performances are approximately one hour long. Entrance is free but attendance is limited to 20 people on a first-come, first-served basis.

Terra Verunt is being performed today at The Splendid, Strait Street, Valletta, at 9pm, 11pm and 1am and tomorrow at noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. For more information, send an e-mail to Gaby Giacchino on contact@musiconnectmalta.com.
