Anthony Degiorgio’s letter about the TV Guide (November 12) mirrors my own thoughts exactly.

It is a nice glossy, social magazine that fails to better the information that is given in the paper each day.

To charge extra for it is cheeky as one has no choice in the matter. I believe that if the public had to buy it as a separate item it would sink without trace in a year. I dare The Times to try it.

I have voted with my pocket and I no longer buy the paper that day but buy another English-speaking publication.

I know this is not palatable reading to the management.
