Before the election we promised transparency and we have delivered.

Now everyone can see us for what we are.

Before the election we promised accountability and democracy and we have delivered.

Now the public can shout “give us accountability” as loud as they like and we will do nothing.

“Everyone must unite in the fight against corruption and leaders must cooperate to fight it together.”

Malta has shown the way by means of a simple formula: corruption + decisive action = sorry, results not available at this time.

Before the election we promised to tackle unemployment and we have delivered. We have created a new industry in Malta – making POTs.

Unemployment benefits (paid out of taxes) have been turned into wages (paid by taxes) for POTs, employees who pay their taxes (some of it) out of the taxes they were paid.

Note also that, in accordance with our ‘Malta for all’ slogan, POTs employees are paid above the minimum wage… quite some way, actually. Therefore, the more wages (taxes) we pay the less taxes we get back.

Some whingers, of course, may say it’s like the hole that gets bigger the more you take out of it. But who cares as long as the unemployment figures go down?

If you are a bit confused by all this, in a nutshell it means ‘Poor Peter’ is working to keep ‘pretend job Paul’.

Uh, I nearly forgot, you may be wondering what ‘POTs’ is and what it produces. Why, it’s the ‘Position of trust’ industry, of course. As to the second part… sorry, details not available at this time.
