Living the Vision is a publication that merges stories with statistics on how the University of Malta has developed over the past 10 years.

Edward Duca interviews outgoing rector Juanito Camilleri about the University’s past and the present. The University now has over 12,000 students and almost 2,700 staff. Nearly one in 10 people living in Malta have graduated from it.

Camilleri explains how the University grew during his tenure. The number of its research publications quadrupled and it took part in over 300 research projects. It attracted over €36 million for research alone. These funds do not cover structural improvements like the €17.3 million ICT building in 2013, or €8 million for the IT Services building in 2011.

However, the University still relies on external sources of funding. Camilleri outlines an idea to retrofit the University with a new engine model. The University has earmarked a master plan for new buildings, refurbished structures, and improved teaching, research, entrepreneurship and public engagement.

Copies of the publication may be picked up for free from the University campuses and Agenda bookstores. It is also available online at the website below.
