Exigy has recently completed the implementation of a centralised enterprise resource planning and retail management solution for Make Up Store, a Scandinavian brand for high quality and affordable cosmetic products. Make Up Store opened its first shop in Malta at The Point, Sliema.
The solution provides DVA Limited, operators of Make Up Store in Malta, with a feature-rich platform to cater both for the financial and point-of-sale aspects, while ensuring flexibility and scalability for future growth that will potentially result in the operation of multiple stores.
The solution is built on LS Retail, an end-to-end solution specifically targeted at companies within the retail and hospitality industries and is fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, an ERP solution that powers more than 94,000 businesses worldwide.
LS Retail delivers in-store and point-of-sale functionality and enables a seamless connection with the company’s back-office operations based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Since the entire solution is fully integrated, it eliminates the need to build, manage and maintain multiple applications and costly interfaces to cater for both front and back-end operations.
A fundamental advantage of the system is that it enables all employees situated at the point-of-sale, back office and head office to make use of the same application across all locations.
The solution goes beyond the automation of basic day-to-day accounting duties and point-of-sale transactions.
“This investment enables DVA to effectively manage their retail business, with a real-time view of all shop transactions that helps them stay alert to market trends and respond effectively to market changes,” says Francois Grech, executive director at Exigy.
“The solution helped us to effectively start up Make Up Store operations in Malta, by providing an excellent customer service at the point-of-sale and seamless integration with our financial back-office processes,” says Diane Izzo, director at DVA.
“Our partnership with Exigy has provided a positive outlook of the product’s potential in Malta,” says Guðmundur Karlsson, partner manager at LS Retail. “The LS Retail implementation at Make Up Store has provided the client with an enhanced way of operations, thus proving the validity of our product for Maltese retail businesses.”
