Planes got treated to a massive party launch in Los Angeles, with a host of Disney actors and actresses turning up for the show in support of the Cars spinoff that was meant to have gone straight to DVD.

Hollywood Boulevard was completely closed off for the premiere, transforming the whole area into a kiddie playground, where guests – both young and old – were transported to a plane-themed event that included showering everyone with little planes, courtesy of Target.

Before the screening started, a host of party games directed specially at the younger guests were held – from carnival games to a flight simulator, an inflatable obstacle course and myriad other craft activities.

Actors Jason Priestley and Alyssa Milano were among those who attended with their children.
