I do not know Franco Debono at all, nor am I one of his constituents.
However, I wish to thank him for standing up alone against all odds in order to defend the rights of the electorate. It seems that for him people’s rights come before party loyalty, which is as it should be for all elected political candidates.
If ever there were clear proof that he was correct is the fact that the Prime Minister has now transferred the issue of the buses from Austin Gatt’s inefficient hands to his own.
I am sure that people like me do not want Dr Debono to be victimised because of his courage to stand up and stick bravely to his convictions. May we have more like him representing us.
Finally, I dare Dr Gatt and the Minister of Finance to publish the total amount of money spent on the public buses fiasco.
This challenge should not be ignored as it will be an eye-opener to sceptics.
