The Honda National League moved into Day Six at Eden Leisure's SuperBowl last week.

There were 8-0 wins for Fina Excel and Ramis to boost their trophy hopes as they lie in fourth and fifth places respectively. Leaders Fina First won 6-2 to remain eight points ahead of Aercomms who also won 6-2, as did Dab Beer who stay third.

Ramis easily took all points from their match against Royal Shock whose performance showed little resemblance to that of a team in the top flight. Ramis were 112 pins better in the first game and the second also ended in their favour to give them a 141-pin cushion going into the last game.

The floodgates were wide open as Ramis completed the whitewash with a 652-842 scoreline. Ramis were a whacking 331 pins better on the series as Royal Shock failed to break the 2,000 pin mark (1,961 pins).

There were eight points for Fina Excel, too, as they beat Technicolor, who are now in the danger zone.

Although Fina Excel took game one 818-746, games two and three were much closer and could have gone either way. Brian Farrugia rolled a 636 for the winners.

After winning their postponed Day Five fixture against Fina Excel (8-0), Fina First stayed on the winning track as they beat Playzone 6-2.

Fina's Dennis Mercieca was in top form, bowling a 255 in the first to help his side to a 762-705 win. Playzone came back to claim the next game 735-764 but it was Mercieca again in the third. Fina won 811-732 with a great 259 from Mercieca to complete a fine 711 series. Playzone's Amanda Cini managed a good 578.

Dab Beer bowled the series of the week (2,459) in their 6-2 win over Duwpa Company. Youth coach Pierre German set his young team-mates a brilliant example, grabbing himself a huge 270 as Dab took game one 787-869. They carried on to win the second 814-821 but Duwpa were improving and finished with a 846 game to pick a consolatory two points from the clash.

German completed a 685 series for the winners but Colin Attard just couldn't do a thing wrong for Duwpa. He bowled an excellent 754 - the series of the week.

Aercomms are still second after beating Dream Team 6-2. They opened with a big 827 and carried on with a 786 in game two, 55 pins better than Dream Team who got their act together to win the third. Ray Falzon notched up a 619 for the winners.

Globalair stay bottom, after going down 1-7 against Toons Two who climbed to eighth place with this win.

Standings: Fina First 42, Aercomms 34, Dab Beer 32, Ramis 26, Fina Excel 24, Playzone 22, Duwpa 22, Toons Two 21, Dream Team 21, Technicolor 20, Royal Shock 16, Globalair Travel 8.
