Transport Malta will auction 71 vehicles on Saturday which were removed from local roads and impounded but never claimed.

The authority said all the vehicles were in good condition.

Last November, Transport Malta had published a list of the vehicles removed for being in breach of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Act, and which had not been retrieved by their owners.

Owners had a month to retrieve their vehicles upon submission of proof or ownership and payment of the tax, licence and other fees.

The auction will be held at Xatt il-Mollijiet, Quay 2, Marsa, near the Marsa trade school, between 9 a.m. and noon. Registration tax and a deposit on location is to be paid.

Vehicles may be viewed from Wednesday until Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information call the Land Transport Directorate on 2560 8190.
