A total of €700,000 are year are being allocated to help non-governmental organisations implement bigger projects on a national level.

Launching the scheme this afternoon, Social Dialogue Minister Helena Dalli said it promoted collaboration between the voluntary organisations on various projects.

For while each accepted project submitted by a single organisation would be allocated between €5,000 and €25,000, should a number of organisations apply together, the allocation could go up to a maximum of €60,000.

The projects could be social, educational, environmental, cultural and sports related.

The minister also distributed €91,000 in final payments to 15 organisations for projects implemented last year.
