Alfred Sant states that when in government the electricity surcharge will be deducted by 50 per cent. My question: 50 per cent of what? Will it be on the full surcharge which according to the present government should be 97 per cent? If it is on this figure than we will be back to square one since we are paying 50 per cent surcharge at least until June, which means a "saving" of 47 per cent.

On the other hand will the mentioned 50 per cent by Dr Sant be on the actual 50 per cent we are paying, reducing this further to 25 per cent?

And, can we know for how long this saving will be "earned" by us?

I look forward to clear comments please.
