5. See Joseph Calleja in La Bohème

An encore production of London’s Royal Opera House La Bohème, starring tenor Joseph Calleja as Rodolfo, is being held at Eden Cinemas, St Julian’s. Based on Giacomo Puccini’s world famous opera, John Copley’s keen stagecraft and loving attention to period and dramatic detail make this production a masterpiece of realism. Julia Trevelyan Oman’s designs evoke the atmosphere of 19th-century Paris, while Israeli conductor Dan Ettinger conducts one of Puccini’s most emotional and melodious scores in a revival that promises to go down in Royal Opera history.

The opera screens on October 30 at 8.30pm.
