A total of 440 persons were struck off parts one and two of the employment register between January and April this year, Education and Labour Affairs Minister Louis Galea said yesterday. He said that the number included 125 who had been working while claiming to be unemployed, 188 who refused a job opportunity and 127 who turned down training.

The minister was replying to a parliamentary question by Dr Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
