Fondazzjoni U, which has organised a number of TV marathons in support of missionary works in developing countries, will be holding a 42-hour marathon tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.

The TV programme starts at noon tomorrow, ending at midnight on Sunday. The broadcast will be visible at different intervals on all national TV stations.

This edition of the Maratona Missjoni will be primarily supporting groups, movements and organisations who will follow missionary experiences this summer. Last February, the foundation published a call for applications for missionary groups who wished to participate. Five groups answered this call and they will undertake projects in Tanzania, Kenya and India.

The programme will also include links with two outdoor complexes.

Tomorrow, the volunteers of Fondazzjoni U will be hosting a car show at the Cottonera Sports Complex. Tickets may be obtained at the gate and doors open at 8pm.

A family festival is being organised at the Marsa Sports Grounds on Saturday and Sunday. Entrance is free. The event starts at 9am on both days and finishes at 4pm. There will be football, games, bouncing castles, shows, singing, dancing, food and much more.

There will also be a football tournament with the possibility of winning €150, a trophy and a medal per player on Sunday starting at 9am.
