The Ħamrun Spartans nursery will be holding the Tony Bajada Memorial between April 8 and 15, at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
This competition is organised every season during the Easter holidays. Over a period of six days, 59 matches will be played involving around 400 players in five different categories (2002, 2000, 1998, 1995 and girls 1993).
Being in its eighth edition, this tournament has now become one of the most popular in Malta. In all, 29 teams from 14 different clubs will be taking part.
The participating teams will hail from the nurseries of Birkirkara, Floriana, Ħamrun, Kirkop, Lija-Iklin, Luxol, Marsa, Melita, Mosta, Pietà, San Ġwann, Sliema, Tarxien Rainbows and Valletta.
The programme kicks off on April 8 but there will be no matches on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
The winners of the 1995 category will be presented with the Challenge Cup by Violet Bajada, widow of the late Tony Bajada, founder of the nursery at Ħamrun Spartans.
