During the 16 months since the change of government, Public Broadcasting Services has spent €25,967.44 on satellite links to cover the Prime Minister’s official visits overseas.

The information was given by Home Affairs Minister Emanuel Mallia in reply to a parliamentary question by Jason Azzopardi (PN).

Dr Mallia said neither procedures nor prices had changed from the previous administration’s years.

Comparative outlays by PBS had been €18,088 in 2008, €15,580.58 in 2009, €21,252.31 in 2010, €12,122.18 in 2011 and €16,839.47.
