Twenty-five organisations have confirmed their participation in the Business Leaders Awards, which will be announced at the next Business Leaders event at Monte Kristo Estates, Ħal-Farruġ, on February 22.

The awards, based on the findings of detailed scientific research involving data submitted by employees, aim to recognise achievement by firms in each of seven categories.

The closing date for registration is October 26.

Business Leaders Malta is a network established by Jugs Malta, Konnekt and Mdina Partnership, and is best known for its annual networking event which is now heading for a fourth edition.

In the exercise, employees will be asked to rate their employer through 10 questions per category. The study will be conducted through an online questionnaire that will run between October 29 and November 16.

The entire process – from data collection to analysis and reporting – is anonymous. Participating firms will be provided with a report indicating the mean, median and standard deviation for each category and for each question by December 15.

Awards will be presented to the highest scoring in seven categories: leadership effectiveness, communication and team cohesiveness, training and development, reward and recognition, corporate culture, performance orientation, and employee well-being.

Other awards will recognise the top-scoring organisations in four company size brackets: 20 to 99 employees, 100 to 199, 200 to 499, and more than 500.

Following the BLM event in February, a benchmark report will be issued to help each participant understand how it performed in relation to other organisations which took part in the exercise.
