A 24-year-old man was yesterday charged with having in his possession 500 ecstasy pills, 100 grams of cocaine and mephedrone in circumstances denoting they were not for his personal use. Ryan Callus of Żejtun pleaded not guilty. He was granted bail against a deposit of €700 and a personal guarantee of €2,000.

Inspector Gabriel Micallef prosecuted while lawyers Franco Debono and Kathleen Grima defended the accused. Magistrate Audrey Demicoli presided over the case.
