A total of 28 public entities and social partners have between them received €1.8 million in EU funds to help them with specific projects.

The Armed Forces of Malta was granted some €186,000, making it the top beneficiary.

Others include the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (€99,000), the Malta Employers Association (€100,000) and the Training and Development Directorate (€100,000).

Dr Klown and Mater Dei Hospital are organising sessions for parents seeking advice on how to deal with children becoming seriously ill.

The sessions will take place during Kids and Klowns’ Day at the hospital.

The event is being held on October 17 from 2pm to 5pm and specialised psychologists will speak to parents while members of Dr Klown keep the children entertained.
