A wooden 17th-century statue on display at the chapel of the St Catherine Monastery in Valletta has been restored by Manuel Zammit. The Ecce Homo is believed to have been sculpted by Frate Umile Pintorno, who also made the 200-year-old crucifix at the nearby St Mary of Jesus church, known also as Ta’ Ġieżu church.
