Restoration works have been embarked upon on three farmhouses in Buskett which date back to the 17th century, Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino said.

Speaking during a visit to the farmhouses he said the works had to be finished by next year.

The idea, he said, was to put these farmhouses to use once again.

One is planned to be used as an interpretation centre for visitors, one to showcase local agricultural products and the other as a rangers base and a small studies centre.

The project is being carried out with the help of EU funds.
