I had a dream, which I would like to share with readers of good humour.
The magistrate handling the 17 Black saga asked an investigative journalist what progress he had made. The journalist said that 17 Black was a 17-year-old black rabbit living in a golden cage in a bank at Dubai.
The magistrate saw a very tough job ahead, having to investigate a rabbit.
The journalist also said that the rabbit could not speak in any of the known languages. The magistrate, aware of the huge leaps ahead in education since 2013, rang Minister Evarist Bartolo and asked if he could help. The minister replied he would ask his canvasser because he was building rabbit hutches and, perhaps, he could help.
After waiting for some time, the magistrate felt it would be better for him to go to Dubai. On other ministers’ advice, he booked a suite on the 16th floor of a Dubai tower hotel, the 17th floor belonging to the 17 Black owner. To have something to read during the flight, the magistrate took with him the book Alice in Wonderland and scripts of the Bugs Bunny TV shows.
He tried to speak to people knowledgeable about 17 Black with no success. He e-mailed a 17-page report to the Attorney General telling him he found nothing unusual with the doings of 17 Black. Quite a dream! I wonder: do dreams come true?
