Grand Harbour Marina hosted 159 super yachts last year, a slight improvement on the 154 it had hosted in 2014.

“Undoubtedly, the location of Grand Harbour Marina set against the timeless backdrop of historical fortifications of Fort St Angelo and Valletta make our marina, one of the most spectacular in the region," said Grand Harbour Marina chairman Lawrence Zammit.

Mr Zammit said that the marina's "top notch" services, as well as its proximity to amenities further contributed to its popularity with super yacht owners and crews.

One such crew member, M/Y Fusion First Officer Jay Deakin, recently listed the Grand Harbour Marina in Vittoriosa as his favourite marina of all.

In an interview with www.crewport.com, Mr Deakin said he was impressed by the marina's surroundings, Malta's history and by the helpfulness of the marina staff.

"Our decision to come to bring FUSION to Grand Harbour Marina however, was also based on price and the quality of the workmanship that we had experienced on our previous visits," he said.
