The Malta Business Network, launched a few months ago, has already signed up 148 members – a mix of individuals and companies.  A further 26 Malta-based members are registered within MBN UK.

The local network recently hosted Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to lunch, its inaugural event attended by over 110 members and guests.

MBN chairman Joseph Zammit Tabona stressed the importance of networking, saying it was universally accepted as a powerful business development activity.

“Over the last two years, MBN has attracted interest from a diverse selection of industries and sectors, all of which are important to Malta’s economy. The MBN has set a trend and the network is growing through our contacts, referrals and awareness from social media and the website,” he said.

The MBN was formally set up in the UK in December 2011 to promote Malta-related business and professional opportunities in the UK. Now a company limited by guarantee, the MBN continues to expand, attracting members, guests and speakers from across a varied range of professions and industries internationally.

The next MBN Malta monthly meeting takes place on January 20 with guest speaker Economy Minister Chris Cardona, while Michael Frendo will talk about CHOGM during the MBN members’ meeting on February 17.
