The Tumas Group today has announced a €15 million refurbishment programme at the Hilton hotel in St Julian's.

The hotel will close down for 10 weeks between February 6 and April 10 next year for the works to be carried out.

The announcement was made by Hilton Malta General Manager Matthew Mullan during a news conference. Works will include refurbishment of 293 rooms, the installation of advanced energy efficient features, and a new terrace overlooking the pool.

No additional floors or rooms are planned as part of this investment.

Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis hailed the Tumas Group for this investment saying it was in line with government's efforts to attract high end tourists.
