A total of 12 players from BOV Premier League teams were today handed a one-match ban after last weekend's games.

Tarxien Rainbows are the worst affected as four of their players were sanctioned for four bookings and will miss Saturday's game against Floriana.

The suspended players are Justin Grioli, Manuel Caruana, Andrezinho and Daniel Mariano Bueno.Balzan had three players getting a one-match ban. Jamie Pace, sent off in the 1-0 victory over Sliema, and Matthew Mendy and Dylan Grima, both on four yellow cards, will have to miss Sunday's clash with Qormi.

Hibs will be without Adrian Pulis, dismissed in the 2-2 against Tarxien Rainbows and Zoran Levnaic (four yellow cards) for their match against Birkirkara on Saturday.

Birkirkara must cope without midfielder Paul Fenech who was red-carded in the 3-1 defeat to Ħamrun Spartans.Massimo Grima, the Ħamrun Spartans defender, has been suspended for four yellow cards and will miss the derby against Qormi on Sunday.

Sliema's Mattias Mucciardi also received a one-match ban for four yellow cards and will have to skip the game against Melita on Friday.
