Twelve aviation and aerospace firms reported significant interest was shown in their offering during their participation at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva last week.

The companies’ participation was supported by Malta Enterprise and Transport Malta under the ‘Aviation Malta’ concept, in collaboration with the Malta Business Aviation Association.

Malta Enterprise and Transport Malta jointly promoted the range of services Malta offers in the aviation and ancillary services sphere, including aircraft registration, financing and management, maintenance, aviation training and support, and corporate services.

The organisations’ representatives provided organisations of the wide-ranging support and assistance companies operating within this sector in Malta can benefit from.

There was particular interest show in the €17 million Safi aviation park inaugurated a few days ago and designed to boost the infrastructure available for the aviation and aerospace industry. With more than 54,000 square metres of space, EBACE provides the ideal platform for companies to showcase their latest innovations and serves as an excellent brokerage event for new clients and investment opportunities.

Nearly 300 international exhibitors participated, including Malta’s 3a Accountants, Aeronautica (Malta) Ltd, Aviatrax Ltd, BizAv Ltd, DC Aviation, EMCS International, EMD (Malta), Globe Aviation Malta, International Management Services Ltd, Orion (Malta) Ltd, RSM Malta, and S&D Aviation Ltd.

More than 60 aircraft, including nearly every major business aircraft design in current production, was on display in a special 18,000-square-metre static dis-play area at nearby Geneva International Airport.

The event, organised by the leading associations for business aviation in Europe and the US – the European Business Aviation Association and the National Business Aviation Association – featured educational and maintenance and operations sessions.
