Aaron Mifsud and Caroline Ciap-para were the first runners home in their respective categories at the recently-held Attard 10K.

Mifsud finished ahead of veteran Drew Lang with Anton Abela placing third in the men’s race.

In the women’s event, Annalisa Pullicino and Maria Duffy followed Ciappara home in second and third places respectively.

Over 100 runners were at starter’s orders as host club Attard AC held the race in conjunction with the Attard Local Council.

On the day, a 10K walk and a 2K fun run were also held with pro-ceeds going to Puttinu Cares.

Trophies were presented by mayor Stefan Cordina in the presence of Attard AC president George Farrugia.

Before the presentations were made, a moment of silence was observed in memory of Umberto Lativa, John Walsh and Norbert Pace who passed away recently.
